More ID Card crap...

"'If we have got a means of identifying people with reasonable certainty - which this is - then that is what we should be doing.' "
Why? You don't need to ID people, just use those draconian anti-terrorist laws and simply lock up everyone without access to a lawyer or even charging them with any crime. Just like you did in August/September.
Despite all these calls that "these cards would help us fight terrorism" there has be NO ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER to intoduce these in the US, despite the fact that they are supposed to be leading the F.A.T. Why not? Because the public over there would never wear it. We shoudl adopt the same attitude.
